Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about the LANTITE, the Teaching Toolkit, and how SN Academy works.
About the LANTITE
The test, what’s on it, what passing looks like.
What is the LANTITE?+
The LANTITE (Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education) is a national test all Australian pre-service teachers must pass before being accredited. It has two parts — numeracy and literacy — and is administered by ACER on behalf of the Australian Government.
What does the numeracy test cover?+
The numeracy test contains 65 multiple-choice questions across three content areas: Number and Algebra, Statistics and Probability, and Measurement and Geometry. It runs for 120 minutes. The first section is calculator-free; the rest allows an on-screen calculator.
What does the literacy test cover?+
The literacy test contains 65 multiple-choice questions across two main areas: Reading Comprehension and Technical Skills of Writing (grammar, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary). It runs for 120 minutes. There is no extended writing — everything is multiple-choice.
What score do I need to pass?+
ACER reports your result as a band level (Bands 1–5) plus a percentage. The pass standard sits at the top of Band 3 and above — effectively 80% –ish for many sittings, though the cut-off varies slightly by test version. ACER will tell you whether you passed.
What happens if I don’t pass?+
You can resit the test. Most universities allow up to three attempts — check your specific institution’s policy. Each sitting costs a separate test fee. SN Academy is built around helping you pass on your next sitting, so use the time between attempts to work through the structured courses.
About LANTITE Access
What’s in our LANTITE preparation membership.
What’s included in LANTITE Access?+
Both numeracy and literacy preparation in one membership for $29/month. That’s six structured courses, ~870 practice questions across topic-based question banks, and 10 full-length practice tests. Worked solutions on every question. There are no separate Numeracy-only or Literacy-only plans — LANTITE Access covers both.
Are the questions similar to the real LANTITE?+
Yes — they’re aligned to ACER’s test format, length, calculator rules, and content areas, and difficulty calibrated against the public ACER sample questions. We don’t copy ACER’s actual test items (that would be illegal) but the practice format and rigour matches.
Can I access SN Academy on my phone or tablet?+
Yes. The site works on mobile, tablet, and desktop browsers. For practice tests we recommend a tablet or laptop — the test interface mirrors the real LANTITE which uses a desktop-style screen.
How long do I need to prepare?+
It depends on your starting level. Most students need 3–6 weeks of regular practice. Strong maths/English background — less. Coming back to study after a long break — more. The 14-day free trial is enough time to do a diagnostic test, see where you stand, and decide.
About the Teaching Toolkit
Our AI lesson planner for parents, tutors and teachers.
What is the Teaching Toolkit?+
An AI-powered lesson planner. You pick a year level, subject and topic, and the Toolkit generates a structured lesson plan and a matching student worksheet — both downloadable, both aligned to the Australian Curriculum v9.
Who is the Teaching Toolkit for?+
Three audiences: Parents who want to support their child’s schoolwork, Tutors who need session-ready material fast, and Teachers who want to cut hours off their planning. Same tool, three reasons to use it.
Does the Toolkit work with the Australian Curriculum?+
Yes. Every generation includes Australian Curriculum v9 content links and follows the structure of a real Australian lesson plan — not a generic format. AI-generated alignment isn’t perfect, so we recommend reviewing the curriculum link before classroom use.
What do I get when I generate a lesson?+
Two documents: a teacher-grade lesson plan (objectives, materials, warm-up, main teaching sequence, consolidation, differentiation, prompt questions) and a print-ready student worksheet with mixed-difficulty questions and an answer key. Generate up to 5 days at once and you get 10 files in one click.
Can I generate lessons for any year level?+
Yes — Foundation through Year 10, all eight learning areas of the Australian Curriculum (English, Mathematics, Science, HASS, The Arts, Technologies, Health and PE, Languages). Quality is currently strongest in Mathematics and English.
How is the Toolkit different from a free chatbot?+
Free chatbots will write whatever you ask, but they don’t structure output as a real lesson plan and don’t reliably align to Australian Curriculum v9. The Toolkit asks the right questions in the right order — you fill in a short form, you don’t write prompts.
Billing & account
Subscriptions, trial, cancellation, payments.
How much does it cost?+
$29/month for LANTITE Access (numeracy and literacy together). $29/month for the Teaching Toolkit. Each includes a 14-day free trial — no card charged if you cancel before day 15. GST is included in both prices.
How does the 14-day free trial work?+
Sign up, use everything for 14 days. If it’s not for you, cancel from your dashboard before day 15 and you won’t be charged. If you keep going, the $29/month subscription begins on day 15. No tricks, no hidden fees.
Can I subscribe to both LANTITE Access and the Teaching Toolkit?+
Yes — they’re separate $29/month subscriptions. Useful for tutors and pre-service teachers who want both: pass the LANTITE, then plan classes once you’re teaching. You can subscribe to one, both, or cancel either independently.
How do I cancel my subscription?+
From your dashboard: Account → Subscription → Cancel. One click. You keep access until the end of your current billing period — no partial refunds, but no fuss either.
What payment methods do you accept?+
All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We don’t store card details on our servers.
