The single largest content area on the LANTITE Numeracy test. Based on the ACER Assessment Framework, Number and Algebra accounts for approximately 40–50% of all 65 questions — meaning you can expect somewhere in the range of 26 to 33 questions to draw on this material. (This is an estimate only; exact counts vary between test forms and are not published by ACER.)
The 15 lessons in this course cover whole-number operations, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, rates, proportional reasoning, financial maths, weighted averages, estimation, and the algebraic thinking the test rewards. Every lesson includes worked examples in the style ACER uses, plus end-of-section quizzes and an end-of-course assessment (Quiz 2A, calculator) and (Quiz 2B, no-calculator) that mirror the real exam format.
Because this domain spans both the calculator and non-calculator sections of the test, mastering it is the single highest-leverage move you can make in your LANTITE prep. We recommend completing this course first after orientation.
